Mad, Impossible Amy Pond by Hatters-Workshop Mad, Impossible Amy Pond by Hatters-Workshop
Doctor: Amy Pond. The girl who waited. All night in your garden. Was it worth it?
Amy: Shut up. Of course it was.
Doctor: You asked me why I was taking you with me and I said..."No reason". I was lying.
Amy: It's not important.
Doctor: Yeah, it's the most important thing left in the universe. It's why I'm doing this. Amy, your house was too big. That big, empty house. And just you.... There was a crack in time in the wall of your bedroom... and it's been eating away at your life for a long time now. Amy Pond, all alone. The girl who didn't make sense. How could I resist
Doctor Who, Series 5, Episode 13: The Big Bang

I've been working on this for about a month now, doing a little at a time. Editted it slightly, since my camera didn't like getting the colour right, so just made it a little darker. An awful lot of love and attention has gone into this picture :)

I know what you mean, I was in love with 10, an i still miss him, but the 5th series is really really good. They sorta recalibrated the series; getting rid of almost EVERYTHING from the past and making it all new and shiny, as opposed to getting stuck in the mud of the other series. It's actually done in such a way, i've kinda accepted it by thinking of it as a different show :D Bare in mind i'm one of the most obsessive Doctor Who fans you're likely to meet, but i've come to terms with the shift ^-^

Sorry, i talk too much ^^; thank you though, i put days and days into this piece, so i'm glad you like it ^-^

You've made me feel MUCH better about starting series five by describing it as a "re-calibration!!!!!" It's so good that they didn't let things get too stuck and old; that's a series killer! In going in thinking it's a new and almost different series, I'm feeling much more confident in trying it! (I've been putting off that regeneration for WEEKS now... :()
I guess I have to keep in mind that with the first regeneration I really wasn't open to the change either! For half the second series I was so hateful! HAH! "Who IS this guy?? :tantrum: I miss Eccelston!!" Now I just adore Tennant!

That's alright, I'm quite chatty, too!!! :typerhappy: Time well spent, it's fanTASTic!

Oh, believe me, i know. My mum doesn't want to watch this series, and now only does so when i'm watching it (which, to be fair, is quite often, but you know what i mean) Genuinely, i had to throw myself into it and try to forget the past, which actually worked really well, and there aren't really all that many reminders. I think Moffat really wanted to make a new program, and he managed it excellently. It was a funny thing, cos i missed the first episode, seeing the second one first, then going back. It worked; everything fits together nicely. It's not like with nine's regeneration, with Rose mourning her loss. Amy is introduced to him as he is, and it all goes from there. It's clever, and it works. I would definitely go for it. The writing, if nothing else, is absolutely mind-blowing, as per usual for Moffat, with a brilliant arc, and the audacity of the finally is on par with the revelation at the end of series 1.

I have to say, at the beginning i was trepedatious, but smith's really grown on me :D Definitely give him a go ^-^

My mom used to watch it with me when Christopher Eccleston was the doctor, but I don't think she's a fan of the newer ones, probably because they're not as cheesy (she only liked them for that!!) I watched the End of Time Parts one and two a couple days ago... I didn't like how they made Tennant so upset to go; I was clutching fistfuls of tissues and sobbing! HAH! He should have been more accepting of his moving on and NOT done his goodbyes (I only say this cuz that's when I lost it!!!) Thank goodness Jack's scene cut some of the tension, or I would have been a complete fan-girl mess!!!
Almost instantly I decided I like Matt Smith, which shocks me, pleasant surprise! I do adore Moffat's story lines! (Secretly, I'm glad to be rid of Davies - is that bad to say?? I'm still angry he killed off Ianto Jones in Torchwood, I think... Shh, don't tell anyone!)

Of course series five isn't instant on Netflix, so I'm stuck at the End Of Time part 2! :O

I love what Chris did with it, i don't think they could have found a better actor to bring the series back. He had the right amount of everything to make sure that people knew this was something that everyone could like - funny for the kids, with the jokes and the body humour etc, but serious, with real meaning behind some of it.

Oh god, the 'End of Time's -_-' The first half an hour of the first one is some of the worst of new Doctor Who history, and then the last half an hour made me CRY LIKE A BABY. Not even joking, i was SOBBING. Right from his goodbye to rose, to about 10 minutes after it finished. I was DISTRAUGHT O.O

I hated him for Geronimo, i loved him for "I'M A GIRL!!!" I think Davis was excellent at the beginning, then he started to lose it as it went on. But Moffat!!!! <3 <3 <3 He is the best of the best, and just... -flail- i love him haha.

Awww, hope you get to see it soon~

I agree; he was perfect for that first series! As much as I didn't want to see the casting change, I think David was so important for the development of the character and the show.

HAHA! I had the quivering lip and everything!! I'll admit there was some sobbing... And even after the special ended, I was still crying...

What are Geronimo and "I'm a girl!!"? *i fail* I agree with that; he really lost his touch as the show went on!! It was SUCH a shame!! I'm really stressed and upset he left Doctor Who to focus on Torchwood... Because Torchwood is my favorite! *worries and stresses out* Moffat is TOO fantastic; he's going to do an absolutely brilliant job!!

Series five dvd comes tomorrow - stoked to start it!!!

-_- i'm an idiot. I just spent ages writing a reply, then closed the tab >.<

I think they were all chosen at the right time. Matt Smith is one of the few actors that could follow David as well as he does.

Oh god, i was whispering "Don't go, don't go, don't go" from as soon as he started collapsing, and when i paused for about a second, he looked up and said "I don't wanna go" and i was convinced he was talking to me, and simply wailed. No other word for it.

And Badwolf Bay has just come on on shuffle... damn you iTunes -sniffle-

I loved "I'm a girl!?!?!" If i'm honest. But geronimo... >.< shoot it. BURN IT. BURN IT WITH FIRE! SHOOT IT, THEN BURN IT WITH FIRE! I mean.. ahem, i'm normal...

And RTD... Where did you go wrong?

Moffat... <3 <3 <3

Hehe! Hope you enjoy it!
